We stayed at Jaw Jaw A Tela for 2 nights, barely a day and a half, but it felt like a week. Bele, Bamo, nene and the rest of the village were warm and welcoming, including them in their daily activities. We swam in the sula's (river rapids), had a 10k leisurely hike through the jungle, ate and ate again, went cayman spotting at night, and slept in the most beautifully crafted and comfortable cabins. Bele's philosophy is to include the visitor in village life rather than providing a western resort experience. Yes, this means limited electricity, running water and (oh horror) internet connection. Perfect place to disconnect, recharge and just be.
